Half joking, half serious, you could say you have to be born with them! Seriously – you need to pay attention to what is happening on your head. How do you have thick, long hair? You need to start with the basics.
Care

Contrary to what you might think, washing your hair every day is not actually the key to a perfect look. Even if your hair tends to get greasy, it is worth trying to wash it every other day. Remember that shampoos strip the hair of its natural protection, because they remove all of the sebum. To have thick hair, give up vigorously rubbing it with a towel after washing and wringing it out in your hands. All of this weakens the hair and damages its structure, so with this kind of treatment there is no question of increased volume.
Brushing your hair before bed
This short daily routine performed every evening strengthens the hair and stimulates circulation. As a result, we are unknowingly strengthening the hair follicles. Strong follicles mean healthy, beautiful hair. To strengthen them, simply brush your hair every night before bed with a brush from the crown of the head right down to the ends. This simple method gives your scalp a brief massage and distributes natural oils through the hair, keeping the scalp in excellent condition. It is said that you should brush your hair at least 3 times a day to keep it healthy and beautiful.
Homemade egg hair mask
Simply beat two eggs, apply the mask to your head and leave it on for half an hour. Then wash your hair. Eggs contain vitamins that are needed for the proper structure of the hair.
Oils for massaging in
It is worth massaging oils into the scalp once or twice a week, for example almond oil, linseed oil or olive oil, which can be combined. Then wrap your head in a towel so the warmth lets the nourishing substances penetrate the hair more deeply. Afterwards, wash your hair – even twice if necessary – to remove the oil thoroughly. Regular oiling brings good results.
Rinsing your hair with cold water
The final rinse after washing your hair should be done with cold water. You may ask – why? It is because this closes the hair cuticles, seals the outer layer of the skin and strengthens the hair before styling. Simply lower the water temperature after rinsing out the conditioner and rinse the hair with cooler water. As a result, the hair will be strengthened and shiny.
Sleeping on a silk pillowcase
What we sleep on also affects the condition of our hair. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase is gentler on the hair. It doesn’t tangle or break, so it can grow undisturbed.
Yeast, honey and milk mask
Prepare a glass of warm milk, add a spoonful of honey and a teaspoon of yeast. Leave to cool, then massage the mixture into the scalp and hair. Leave on for at least an hour, then wash it off with a gentle clarifying shampoo. This will speed up the growth of new hair and regenerate hair that is already growing.
Diet
Bran, oat flakes and linseed contain amino acids that are essential for the growth of hair and nails. Eat nuts, almonds and various seeds, as they contain zinc, copper and silicon, which are particularly important for hair condition. Wholegrain products (groats, bread, pasta) provide B vitamins that are essential for growing thick hair. Carrots and other red or orange fruits and vegetables provide beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A – which in turn helps produce keratin, the main building block of hair and nails. Also remember healthy fats, such as olive oil, linseed oil or sea fish. These products contain plenty of vitamin E, which helps stop hair from falling out excessively, as well as fatty acids that moisturise hair and improve its elasticity.
