Przedłużanie włosów – jaka metoda najlepsza?

Every woman dreams of beautiful, long hair. Not everyone, however, has the patience to grow it out. There is hope, though. There are many ways to extend hair today. Which method is the best, and how do they work?

Our salon recommends the “sandwich/tape” method. It is a safe method because the weight of the hair is distributed along the tape horizontally rather than vertically. It is gentle on the hair follicles. It can be compared to ice cracking under weight. If you stand upright on thin ice you will fall through (keratin bonding method), but if you lie down, spreading your weight over a larger surface, you have a chance of success (tape and Japanese methods).

What other options are there? Below is a full list.

Heat method

This hair extension method uses the natural building block of hair, which is keratin. Strands are attached using a special device that works at high temperature. This device is usually a fusion tool or a special gun with keratin inserts. The advantage of this method is its durability, as the effects last up to 4 months. After this time, however, the treatment must be repeated, because the bonding points will become very visible as the hair grows.

Ultrasonic method

This method is ideal for people who are concerned about damaging their hair through extensions. It does not rely on high temperatures; instead it uses ultrasonic waves to bond artificial strands to natural hair. This means the joins are invisible, and the effect can last up to 6 months. However, this method is quite expensive, and removing the hair takes a long time.

Japanese method

This method of attaching extensions involves weaving artificial equivalents into natural hair using a short, very thin braid. One centimetre from the root, synthetic strands are woven in and secured with an invisible elastic band. For the treatment to succeed, the braid must be plaited very tightly. The problem with this method is that these extensions should not be worn for longer than 2 months. Otherwise the follicles of your hair may suffer.

Injection method

This is the most advanced and innovative method. Its distinguishing feature is that the additional strands are usually natural hair. They are attached to a base that imitates the scalp, and this base is glued to the head. This gives a natural effect that can last for a year. This method is recommended for people who suffer from hair loss. The problem may be the very high cost of this method.

Mesh method

This is another method ideal for people struggling with hair loss. Similarly to the injection method, it uses natural hair, which is attached to a special mesh that is then fixed to the hair. This approach gives a very discreet and natural effect.

Which hair extension method is the best?

Each hair extension method is different. They differ in many respects: price, level of naturalness of results, but also safety. Everyone must answer this question for themselves. It is therefore worth weighing up all the pros and cons and choosing the method that suits you best.
